Product Description

This charming 1950s menu comes from the French restaurant Au Chien Qui Fume, which was established in Paris in 1740 and which still exists today. Translated, the title means The Smoking Dog  as dogs are a theme of the restaurant décor. The menu advertised dine-and-dance evenings and inside there is a drawing of a chic Parisian couple sitting at a banquette in their evening finery. "This is the rendezvous for everyone who loves gaiety, good food, old wines and champagne," it says in the interior. It also notes that the orchestra stops playing at 6am - obviously a fun place to be.
