Product Description

A marvelous example of the ingenuity of menu artists, this 1950s cover illustrates how fresh lobsters were transported daily from Maine to New York – on the Flying Lobster plane. A giant lobster, its claws extended like wings, is superimposed on the body of an airplane.

The Flying Lobster was a New York restaurant located in mid-town in the 1950s.

The interior of the menu also has charming images – happy clams, dancing shrimp and singing salads.
