This wonderful vintage menu print shows an oysterman emerging out of the sea with his catch of fish and oysters – all ready for someone’s lunch. It was the cover of a booklet announcing the services offered in the 1920s at the restaurant Maison Prunier in London. As you will see from an excerpt, this was very high quality take-away food and it even included instructions on how to re-set sauces for fish.
